


Vintage Atwater Kent Model L horn speaker with Base. The horn appears to be in great condition. With no dents in the horn, there are some paint scuffs and crazing of the paint depicting the age of the speaker, it does appear to be original paint. There is a manufacturers tag on the inside lip of the horn that appears to have a small dent in it. “MODEL – L : ATWATER KENT : PATENTED APR 21, 1926 : OTHER PAT’S PENDING”. The bottom of the speaker has positive and negative attachment points and printed on the speaker is ATWATER KENT : PHILA. The horn measures 14 inches in diameter, 12 inches deep and stands 19 inches tall attached to the base. The base measures 8.5 inches wide, there is a factory hole in the base to allow speaker wire access. This was found in 2 pieces. The horn separated from the base. The horn does fit snugly into the hole in the base, but does not appear to have threads or any other way to fix the horn to the base. This has not been tested. The screws will be in a small bag packed with the speaker.
