For sale is this TRS-80 disk system with three 8 inch floppy drives. Made by Radio Shack division of Tandy Corporation based in Fort Worth, TX. Catalog # 26 4162. Basically untested – see below. Physically it looks very good to excellent. There are a few signs of wear but not much. It is mostly clean but a little dusty inside. One of the three fuse holders does not seem to close correctly – I didn’t try hard. Two of the knobs pushed to open the front doors are a little wobbly but functional. All four rubber feet are present. There is a label above the 3 fuses stating this equipment has not been tested to show compliance with FCC rules concerning tv or radio interference etc. The 3 motors, marked CAUTION HOT MOTOR in orange, are marked Universal Electronics Co. Power cord is included along with ribbon (pic 9) and two terminator plugs (pic 13). Also two 8 inch floppy disks – one not labeled – one labeled Radio Shack scriptsit spelling and hyphenation dictionary. I plugged it in and it began humming and the red light came on then I turned it off. I have done no other tests. Has been in storage for many years in a plastic trash bag.
