Hammarlund HQ-100A C Vintage Ham Radio Receiver for Parts / Restoration SN 10138. This radio is in very good condition for its age showing only minor wear! The biggest issues are that one of the tube shields is a bit bent up on the top, the clock’s window shows a few scratches, and the power cord is pretty stiff. Aside from some areas of small scuff / scratches, this radio is extremely clean! Unfortunately the radio is not fully working so we must sell it AS-IS for parts or restoration. Please read our technician’s notes below. This item has been tested by our technician, a ham radio operator of more than 55 years. Here’s what he had to say: Tested with RF generator on all bands. The radio has plenty of audio! The clock, meter, and dial lamps all work. The one major issue with the radio is that the BFO does not work for some reason. I also recommend to spray all of the front panel switches and pots with contact cleaner. Please realize that this is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road.
