Original Retail Box and Owner’s Manual. 7.2V Rechargeable Battery and Wall Charger. Testing: The car and remote both power on using AA batteries. Functionality: The front axle steering (left/right) is functional, and the back wheels do spin. The Problem: Once powered on, the car runs continuously without input from the remote. Additionally, I observed smoke coming from the front capacitors shortly after turning it on. I immediately shut the unit off and have not attempted to power it since to prevent further damage. This is likely a rewarding project for someone experienced with vintage electronics or RC repair, especially given the presence of the original box and accessories.
