Toshiba RT-8700S Vintage Stereo Boombox – For Parts / Repair. Vintage Toshiba RT-8700S stereo radio cassette recorder, Made in Japan, with both detachable speakers. The unit has a very clean overall cosmetic appearance for its age, with normal signs of use. Please review all photos carefully. The cassette function was initially not working because the drive belt needed replacement. I installed a replacement main cassette drive belt. I also applied DeoxIT to the control knobs/potentiometers during servicing. After reassembling the unit, the audio output stopped working. Because the sound stopped working, I did not get a chance to properly test the cassette after installing the new belt. The cassette belt has now come off, and the cassette is not working. Further troubleshooting and repair will be required. Toshiba RT-8700S main unit. Cables/accessories shown in the photos. IMPORTANT: The original carrying handle is missing. The radio was confirmed working when initially tested, but the unit currently has no audio output, and the cassette is not working. The cassette belt has come off. No guarantee of functionality is made. Please review all photos and the complete description before purchasing. The photos show the exact item and what is included.
