Northern Electric 740A Microphonic Wood Tube Radio 1938 – Restoration Project. This is a classic “Microphonic” model featuring a stunning Art Deco “waterfall” wood cabinet and original mechanical push-button tuning. It contains all its original parts. I have not plugged this unit in to protect the vintage components. It is intended for restoration, parts, or as a high-end decorative display piece. Cabinet: The wood veneer is in original condition. There is visible surface wear and some scratches on the top (please see photos), but the structure is solid. Parts: Includes original knobs and push-buttons. The dial glass is intact with no cracks. Chassis: The internal components appear to be present (see photos of the rear). This radio will be double-boxed and heavily padded to ensure it arrives in the same condition shown in the photos. It’s dimensions are approximately 10.5″ x 16.5″ x 8.5 and weighs 8.08 kg. We acquire our items from various sources e.
