Vintage Pioneer SX-980 AMFM Stereo Receiver / Radio No Glass For Parts/Repair. The item for sale is For Parts or Not Working /Repair. Cosmetic condition (see pictures). Upon inspection of the device. I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches that happen with normal use. The front glass, Bass knob cover, and Negative Group B right speaker button is missing. (see pictures #1, #2, & #8). The station turning knob is slightly bent but still functions. All ports and connectors are in good cosmetic condition. I was able to replace to power cord and power on the device. I was able to use an in house setup and test the speaker output and selection working as intended. I was able to test the FM antenna port to work as intended and tune in a local radio station. The volume knob work as intended, however the volume would go down on its own to silent and sometimes come back to normal. The Bass, Treble, Balance, and the Loudness knobs work as intended. The Source, Filter, and FM control buttons work as intended. Both front jack input and output work as intended. The back AUX and Tape 1 & 2 inputs work as intended. The Tape monitor controls work as intended. No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources. Included in the sale is.
