This Heathkit SB-110 appears to have been someone’s project. They installed a cooling fan in the top cover, and I can see a few other mods under the hood. The VFO feels a little stiff, but all the other controls feel OK. I’m sure it’ll make a great parts unit in the worst-case scenario! This transceiver is part of a large collection we recently took in. All of the radios had been sitting for years (likely decades), and it’s almost a given that they’re going to need work. With this in mind, along with the fact that our technician has more pressing projects to work on, we’ve made the decision to sell them 100% untested and as-is. The bottom line is this… You’ll receive your item on time and in perfect condition regardless of how big, heavy, or delicate your item may be!
