ANTIQUE VINTAGE CROSLEY RADIO CABINET MODIFIED INTO POWER SUPPLY 1930s FOR PARTS
Antique Crosley radio cabinet modified into a power supply of some sort. I do not know anything about it except that someone took a Crosley cabinet that once held a receiver and used it to house a transformer and 500ohm line. The wood cabinet measures 11 W x 6 H x 4 3/4 deep. It has a hinged lid with brass hardware. The manufacturers label in the cabinet is mostly rubbed off, but still legible as The [Crosley] Radio Corporation. I could not locate a model number. As for the electrical components, theyre an assemblage of parts of a power supply and not tested in any way. I must emphasize that the internal components are not original this cabinet and do not comprise a radio. They are probably of the same period, however. The cord is frayed with no plug. There was originally a 56 vacuum tube in it. Because this appears to have been hand rigged I dont know what is complete and what isnt. The lower right dial doesnt have anything to attach to, and was sitting in the cabinet; for display I have had a piece of wadded painters tape lightly keeping the knob in place. The wood cabinet is nice looking, a few nicks and dings but nothing out of line with age and use. Please read description and view all photos carefully! If you have any questions feel free to ask.
