This transceiver looks pretty rough. It looks like it had been stored in a humid environment at some point, as most of the steel has surface rust on it. It’s also pretty dusty inside and out. In an effort to recoup as much of our investment as possible, we’ve removed the Noise Blanker, AUX-7 board, and filter board. Other than that, it appears complete and unmodified. My guess is that this will make a great parts unit. This is part of a large collection we recently acquired, which consisted of mostly Collins and Drake gear. The gentleman had acquired the equipment over the past decade with the hope of one day restoring it and creating a vintage contest station. We picked the equipment up from a climate-controlled storage where everything was individually boxed and had sitting for years. On top of that, we have no idea when they were last used before he had acquired it. We’ll guarantee it to not be DOA, but it will certainly need some level of service to bring it back to factory spec. This may include (but limited to): replacement of electrical components (capacitors, resistors, tubes, etc), cleaning of controls, alignment, and so forth. If you’re not qualified to do this work yourself, we’re happy to provide you with a list of qualified technicians. If you prefer one carrier over the other, please make that request when paying for the item. Rest assured, you’ll receive your item in excellent condition!
