This Clegg Venus is a pretty rare piece of equipment. Unfortunately, it looks like this one has been used for parts. I see one meter missing as well as one tube (the 12DW7). Other than that, it looks complete. It was very dusty so we blew off the chassis with an air compressor, however the cabinet still has some dust in/on it. This equipment is part of a very large silent-key estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We have not done any testing beyond what is specifically mentioned above. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service and it’s simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on.
