It does have static but will not turn into a radio station. The plastic cover is missing over the radio tuner. The dial to tune the radio stations is also missing. There is a piece of wire sticking out from the back of the radio. Not sure what it goes to. This is a great piece for repair or for décor. Has a lot of character.
