It does come on and light up but two of the buttons are broken. I was able to tune in a station on FM and it sounded great but when I turned the tuner it got stuck and will not move. It has a few cosmetic issues some scratches on the case. An experienced radio man or woman should be able to fix this up. It did sound great when it played though.
