For sale is the legendary Telefunken Opus 5550 MX Tube Radio Stereo Hi Fi Receiver for Restoration, Parts or Repair. The prior owner told me it is used to work before he put it in his barn, but when we plugged it in – Nothing. This high end tube radio has seen better days. The wood box is water damaged/rotted (probably from sitting on the ground) and when I look through the front glass and back grill, I can see signs of mouse poop and shredded insulation/carpet inside of the radio – signs of a barn mouse house/nest made inside the radio. This radio is also very dirty. Front buttons alre also stuck/jammed – I did not want to force anything. The plastic front Telefunken label plate has signs of micro crackling. I can’t be bothered to clean it up and also concluded that it might be better for me to simply sell it as is, without trying to test tubes or other so that you know it is in “As Found & Untouched Condition”. A great Hi Fi for your restoration and or for those hard to find parts.
